DGI compliance
Dirección General de Ingresos — Panama’s tax authority, responsible for ITBMS, income tax, and e-invoicing.
Detail
DGI is Panama’s equivalent of Mexico’s SAT or Ecuador’s SRI. It administers national taxes (ITBMS, income tax, dividends, capital gains), manages the RUC (taxpayer registry), operates the e-invoicing system (with CUFE as the unique identifier), and is the counterpart for audits. For an ERP in Panama, integrating with the DGI means: issuing valid electronic vouchers, connecting to the RUC validation service for customers and suppliers, generating monthly (ITBMS) and annual (income) filings, and retaining audit-ready traces for potential review. cifraHQ Enterprise knows the Panamanian fiscal calendar and produces DGI reports so the accountant does not have to assemble them by hand.
